Here I’ll talk about my experience with the Prenuvo Executive Plan. Video found at end.
The Executive plan is the most comprehensive option available at Prenuvo. It includes a whole body MRI, body composition analysis, advanced brain health scan via NeuroQuant, and an advanced heart health scan via MyoStrain. All of this is via MRI, which is very safe, no ionizing radiation or contrast. The plan also includes a comprehensive blood and urine panel with a repeat at 6 months. A few of these may only be available at certain locations, NYC being one of them.
On the day of the scan, after a quick check-in process, they take me to my own dressing room, which I can lock. I swap my clothes for theirs. Looking trendy.
There’s a snack area. That’s an option only for after the scan, which I needed to fast for.
No phones allowed in the scanning room, unfortunately, so I don’t have my own footage, but on my video I show some public photos posted by Prenuvo on their socials, which looked basically the same. The whole place is very nice.
My scan lasted about 1.5 hours. It started with the NeuroQuant, went onto the traditional whole body scan, after which there’s a brief intermission and then I do the MyoStrain. As for the blood and urine labs, it is suggested to do those within 10 days of the scan. Prenuvo provided full instructions including which provider to use. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.
During the scan I can choose a show or film to watch on Netflix, or listen to music on Spotify. I chose to watch Archive, a 2020 sci-fi film, which was okay I guess. The scan finished before the film.
Throughout the scan the MRI tech occasionally gave me clear instructions, which are easily heard through the entertainment since the media volume decreases during this. Instructions are very simple and usually include holding my breath for a number of seconds during select portions of the scan.
That’s it. I was told to wait at least a few weeks for my results, but maybe I was lucky, I got mine in more like a week.
My results appeared on an intuitive interface on the website and app. Very easy to understand and use. Everything is color-coded. I could tap into anything for more info and easily jump among the different scan reports, of which there are 5 in my executive plan.
I was able to view my scan images at a glance, with summaries describing what each set shows.
I was also able to download all of my scan images in DICOM format. The zip after extracted contained thousands of files and was multiple gigabytes. The website provided instructions on free software that can be used to view these.
Of course I was also able to download all my reports in PDF format, including the full body MRI, NeuroQuant brain scan, MyoStrain heart scan, body composition, and labs. When I combined them into 1 PDF there were 50 pages total.
The reports are easy to understand and put things into context. For instance, it clearly labels something as minor, explains why, and suggestions depending on whether or not there are any associated symptoms.
I also had a few questions about some of the results across the reports, which I was able to get clarified in the complimentary 1-hour consultation with a knowledgeable provider.
Final step as part of the package is the 6-month lab follow-up which is included in the price.
I think Prenuvo is a good way to be proactive about the body, get a baseline, catch anything unusual, and act as a step toward targeted follow-ups if warranted, keeping in mind the reports do a solid job of indicating what is minor or normal.
Below is my referral link you can use to get money off a scan with Prenuvo. Doesn’t have to be the executive plan. The end of the URL is 4F04UV (that’s a zero, not an Oh).
