Installing IPB 1 Skins

Software Compatibility

At the time of writing, this product has been confirmed to work on IPB 1.3.x, and may function normally for other versions of IPB 1. This has not been tested nor is expected to function correctly on IPB 2 or above; you may update/convert the product to other versions/platforms at your own risk and only if following the rules above.

Images and Code

1) Edit the contents of any images as desired, then upload all images to the same folder retaining the original image names and without leaving the images in any sub-folder (these two requirements are optional but will streamline the next step).
2) In all code files, mass-replace INSERTURL with the URL of the location where you uploaded the images, including the http:// and minus the last slash (e.g. if you uploaded the images at website.com/images/, mass-replace INSERTURL with http://website.com/images). Assuming you did not change the image names, you do not have to edit the image names in the code for any of the originally included images.
3) If the code includes custom button links, you can edit the destination URLs at this point (these will also be designated by INSERTURL by default).
4) Head to your Admin CP's CSS area. There, paste the code from the css.txt file and save.
5) Head to your Admin CP's Header/Footer/Java area. There, paste the code from the header/footer/java.txt file(s) and save.
