Version 2026.4.24 introduces Afterlife mode.
If a monster or target hits Ray, he becomes a spirit. His sprite becomes translucent and “Afterlife” displays next to the time. The player can continue exploring the level, but upon reaching the warp, it disappears, preventing logging of a high score on that round. Other hazards, such as bombs, moving blocks, and hazardous terrain (e.g. water, slime, fire, magma, cacti, spikes, holes [pits/sky/space]) don’t induce an afterlife on contact, instead “reincarnating” Ray immediately by resetting the level.
This is essentially an Easy Mode with repercussions!
