Perfect sleep, with a few notes

I live in a ground-floor, street-facing apartment next to a busy road in Manhattan. Cars pass all the time, honking or playing loud music. Guy sorts trash loudly outside, just 10 feet from my bed, sometimes at 5-6 AM, which contributed to my dysfunctional sleep deprivation when I had a full-time job. Neighbor sings loudly in hall. People yell outside, angry or just because. You get the drill. That’s partly a pun; sometimes there are drills just outside (roadwork).
One of these Lectrofans, plus earplugs (I wear comfortable 3M ones) resolved all of the above disturbances except one: my bedroom is right next to the building front door which can slam loudly when people go in or out; my sleep was sometimes still disturbed from that.
So what did I do? I got another Lectrofan to place in a different location, next to my apartment front door, which effectively masked that specific noise. Now, I have two Lectrofans: one white and one black. I also got two of the official travel case for my trips. Bye bye disturbing noise, hello white noise.
I like the aesthetic design of this more than the “Evo” version (which I haven’t got), and it seems from reviews that many users prefer the sound of the original too.
Update:
I noticed some minor sound differences between the black and white models, none of which are real issues but I haven’t seen anyone mention these so thought it would be worth detailing for anyone curious. Perhaps it’s not really color-related but instead slightly different builds, as I got the models at different times (I got both in 2025: black in April and white in Aug). Whatever the case, here’s what I found: (1) The black model is slightly quieter than the white model (turned both up to max volume and used a decibel meter app to compare – white hovers around 80 dB, black around 75 dB). (2) When power is supplied to either model, the white model turns on automatically whereas the black model doesn’t (latter is ideal). (3) Black model comes on with a fade in, and turns off with a fade out, whereas white model only fades out. (4) Black model, even when off, makes an audio cut-off sound when power is cut; white model doesn’t. (5) Some of the sounds may sound different (didn’t analyze this further as I virtually always keep it on the default sound); feel free to watch the video I uploaded to judge. There might be other differences. Both devices say “ASM1007” on the bottom.
Besides the inconsistencies above which I can overlook, if I had two things to nitpick: would’ve been absolutely perfect with a remote, and a display to show which settings it’s currently on. But it’s practically perfect so I rated it 5/5.
