MOOALA Organic Bananamilk: my new favorite plant-based milk
My rating: 100%
Published 2026-7-30
I tried the Mooala organic banana milk today and I love it. I had it with an IQBar. Tastes natural and healthy, no added sugar, and the nutrition facts and ingredients back that up – unlike many “banana” milks out there where most of the taste probably comes from added sugar and artificial flavors, which I think taste worse anyway. Slightly thicker texture than the watery almond milk I usually drink (typically Whole Foods 365 organic unsweetened). Reminds me of bananas mixed in a blender, and it seems that’s basically what it is, apparently with sunflower seeds, monk fruit, and cinnamon mixed in.
IQBars: my go-to nutrition/protein bar – and I’ve tried a lot of bars
My rating: 90%
Published 2026-7-13, updated 2026-8-30
IQBars are delicious, and to top it off, healthier than most protein bars. Not too sweet, unlike Aloha bars (which have added sugar). IQBars have absolutely no added sugar; the chocolate chips are unsweetened, and a non-threatening mild sweetener is used (stevia). Also no sugar alcohols (unlike Quest bars). Although the bars are not USDA-certified organic, they are minimally-processed.
I can tell by the wholesome taste and natural texture that these comprise the healthy, whole-food ingredients listed and essentially nothing else. Lion’s Mane, Vitamin E, etc are icing on the cake.
I usually eat at least one bar a day, downing it with plant-based milk. Often keeps me full for hours. Convenient when in a rush and/or on-the-go. A delicious dessert that superpowers you, which can’t be said about most desserts.
My favorite IQBar flavors are the chocolate variety. {Update} Oh and the seasonal Pumpkin Spice flavor which is godly this year with its crispy bits that remind me of a pumpkin pie crust. {/Update}
Would love a chocolate variety pack that also included other chocolate flavors (e.g. toasted coconut chip, chocolate mint chip, salted caramel chip). The IQBar PB&J Bites are great too.
Overall IQBar has been the perfect bar for me, out of all of the protein bar products I’ve tried. Just one hitch – I wish it was organic. Virtually everything else I eat on a regular day is organic. Would be great if the company could look into whether this is a possibility in the future. Otherwise, keep it up.
Xiaomi Mi Portable Electric Air Compressor 2: makes tyre inflation fun
My rating: 100%
Published 2026-3-4
The Xiaomi Mi portable electric air compressor 2 makes inflating my electric scooter tires a breeze (I have two Segway Ninebot MAX G30Ps). I appreciated the Xiaomi even more after trying another inflator (AstroAI L7 Mini) which was a pain to use, so I got another Xiaomi instead (to use as a spare at my girlfriend’s). The Xiaomi is super easy to hook into the tire. No traditional lever on the valve end of the quick connector means minimal escaped air and no fuss. The readings have always been accurate and I have never encountered an error or technical issue. I got my first Xiaomi 7 months ago, which I generally use weekly to biweekly, and haven’t needed to charge the battery yet. Not that it really matters for a device like this, but I appreciate the stylish look and intuitive design as well. The light can be handy. I’m sure the options for other tyre types / balls work well too.
AccuMed BNX N95 (TC-84A-9315 / H95B): quite possibly the best masks I’ve had
My rating: 100%
Published 2025-8-25
These N95 masks fold flat (pocket-friendly so much more convenient than the typical puffed-out N95s). Compared to KF94 masks, straps feel more secure and are easier to put on / take off. Can easily lower it to hang around neck when not using. Obviously more protective than surgical/cloth masks, and more practical than a P100. Looks more stylish than a typical N95, and it’s black which I prefer. Most importantly, seems to do the job (including noticeable reduction in odor detection), without being uncomfortable on the nose like standard N95s. In fact, they’re pretty comfortable. Enough breathability to run miles in (which I’ve done) as well as flexibility to layer with a second of these for even more protection against [and smell reduction of] smoke, air pollution, etc.
Bluevua RO100ROPOT reverse osmosis water filter system: probably the best water I’ve ever tasted
My rating: 100%
Published 2025-5-16
I was getting tired of purchasing bottled water and understood that it wasn’t necessarily healthier than tap water anyway. After testing my tap water and finding it had better readings than bottled water in some ways but worse in others, I decided to get a reverse osmosis system with remineralization filter for my tap water to get the best of both worlds. I read the good reviews for the Bluevua ROPOT and understood it was on its way to receiving certifications. I’m happy I went with this and not a lesser product. Some of the best water I’ve tasted. I don’t know why some people complain about the waste water or refilling frequency as I’ve found one round enough to last at least 1-2 days and it’s a quick easy process anyway. This RO filter looks great, is quiet, and most important churns out high-quality liquid goodness.
Leotruny widebrim: the perfect hat
My rating: 100%
Published 2024-9-9
Effortlessly stylish, comfortable and breathable, easily foldable and storable, relatively washable, securable to head, easy to put on, and of course, super sun-protective with its UPF50+ and ultra widebrim status. Nice color options (I got the C01 Light Grey, C02 dark gray, and Army Green). What more could you ask for?
Braun MGK3980 hair clippers: bye-bye barbers
My rating: 90%
Published 2020-7-2
My first self-haircut went better than I expected, and this trimmer made it easy. My only (minor) gripes are the trimmer can’t be used while it’s charging, and the case isn’t able to fit everything without difficulty. But overall, a solid product well worth the price.
{Note 2026-8-31: I’ve never gotten my hair cut by anyone else since I started using these. I’ve received other, more expensive hair clippers as gifts since then but have found these more than sufficient for now, and very easy and quick to use.}
Goplus home multi-gym: smart design
My rating: 90%
Published 2020-3-26
The standout feature of this machine is its smart design; there are no stacked weights thanks to its use of bodyweight, so it’s great for apartments by adhering to constraints in space, noise, and floor load.
Product came in 2 boxes delivered separately. I managed to assemble it myself but some steps may be easier if a partner helps.
Works well enough for arm and chest exercises, which is what I usually use machines for. Leg portion is untested and core options seem virtually nonexistent but I do non-machine exercises for those.
I had my suspicions before using it due to its unique design but for what it is I’m happy with this purchase and it should be sufficient while the gyms are indefinitely closed or whenever I feel like doing a workout at home.
